In 2020, three motorcycle-enthusiastic colleagues joined forces with an innovative business idea for the air-conditioning of motorcycle helmets and founded the startup COMET, today TEMPRAVENT. The team was supported with its idea by the MAHLE Incubator, an intrapreneurship program that gives internal founders the opportunity to develop new business models for the automotive supplier MAHLE.

The vision of the founders Aline Klippel, Maximilian Göppert and Alexander Timm is to become market leaders for comfortable and tempered motorcycling. TEMPRAVENT sees itself as a pioneer for air-conditioning helmet technology, and has the mission to provide motorcyclists with the same driving comfort they know from the air conditioning from the car. The idea has the potential to redefine comfort for motorcyclists around the world. To achieve this goal, the team uses the expertise of MAHLE in the field of thermal management, air conditioning and mechatronics, and works on solutions for air conditioning of motorcycle helmets. As an innovative partner for motorcycle helmet manufacturers, the TEMPRAVENT team is transferring MAHLE’s know-how in vehicle air conditioning and mechatronics to motorcycle helmets for the first time. Various manufacturers have become development partners of the startup.

The TEMPRAVENT team has grown steadily and now consists of eight colleagues who are responsible for various tasks – from mechatronics to business development to sales and marketing. The passion of the team, the high demands of the customers and the attention to technical detail inspire TEMPRAVENT every day to do the best. Together with its partners, the team is shaping the mobility of the future – in line with MAHLE’s vision of “We shape future mobility”.
